It was really great catching up with 4 of the 8 students that we have hosted over the last 5 years & also meeting Lu Lei (or Brick as he calls himself) who will be joining us in February.
The years just slipped away as we met each other and it was so great to meet the families of three of the students – a real privilege and awesome to know they had entrusted their children to our care all those years ago. In each case, the parents had noted a change in the confidence and independence of their child and many stories were shared. I’m looking forward to the time when Terry and I return to the Netherlands in another 5 years time to see where these students end up – they are so world-wise and technologically savvy with a very clear idea of where they want to end up in life, it’s truly an inspiration.
Is there someone who has inspired you in life or in business that you would like to follow-up and share your success with or someone you’d like to research or follow-up to see where they are now? I’m sure they’ll be equally curious and happy to be contacted so I’d encourage you to act today while you’re in the mood or remember.
Farming of relationship or staying in touch with others is often an area that is overlooked because we become so busy and occupied with what’s happening in our lives at present. Do share how you get on – I’d love to hear from you.
