NZ Businesses have a new Tool to Build their own Websites …

It was my pleasure to attend the Wellington launch of getonline.co.nz on the 18th of July at the Hutt Chamber of Commerce Offices.

Great information from Rob Hunt (Senior Business Manager, Hutt Valley) and Julian Smith, MYOB General Manager New Zealand.

And what a great initiative… Their goal is to have 30,000 businesses with new websites by the end of the year & they already have over 4,000 who have registered on line. Absolutely awesome, given 80% of NZ’ers use the internet to find business online. What was disturbing is that only approx 32% of NZ businesses have website at this point in time.

Obviously that’s soon to change!!! As the initiative removes the barriers of cost, time & perplexity. May have to have a go myself.
